Welcome to Time For Yourself, LLC, where your well-being is my top priority. Established in 2002, TFY was born out of a deep desire to provide exceptional massage therapy services. As a devoted wife and mother of three young sons, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and holistic healing. After graduating from the Stillpoint Program, I gained valuable knowledge in massage techniques and the profound significance of self-care. Witnessing the transformative effects of massage on my clients, I became inspired to extend its benefits to my children. My children found calmness, focus, and improved health. I observed how their ability to relax translated into better academic performance and the safe release of energy through sports while preventing injuries. My passion for healing deepened as I delved into Myofascial Release, studying the techniques developed by John Barnes, PT. I was captivated by the understanding of how connective tissue influences the imbalances in our bodies and the profound impact it has on restoring balance once again.
In the face of adversity, I embarked on a remarkable journey of resilience and personal growth. In 2010, at the age of 36, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. Determined to overcome this challenge, I made a steadfast commitment to fight and explore every avenue of healing. Enduring biweekly chemotherapy treatments, I underwent surgery and radiation. The experience of feeling weak and vulnerable compelled me to strive for strength and vitality. Fueled by this newfound drive, I made the decision to return to school, seeking to empower others through fitness and well-being. In 2013, I achieved certification as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, laying the foundation for my journey as a fitness professional. Continuing my educational pursuits, I proudly graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Management from the esteemed California University of Pennsylvania in 2016. With my expanding knowledge and qualifications, my business evolved to offer Personal and Small Group Training. As the sole facility certified in TRX training, I am a Certified TRX Coach, empowering clients to push their limits and achieve their fitness goals. Furthermore, as a Spartan SGX Coach, I have guided numerous individuals in conquering obstacle course races, having personally completed several trifectas myself. In addition to my certifications, I am also Rock Tape Certified, providing a specialized approach to address fascia and reduce pain and inflammation. Through my personal journey, I have gained invaluable insights into the power of resilience, determination, and the ability to transform challenges into triumphs. I am honored to share my expertise and support you on your own path to strength, health, and a fulfilling life.
The transformational power of fitness and massage inspired me to delve deeper into holistic wellness, recognizing that nutrition completes the puzzle of optimal health. Acknowledging its vital role, I pursued further education, driven by my passion to help others achieve overall well-being. In 2018, I proudly graduated Magna Cum Laude with an M.S. in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University. Seeking to deepen my expertise, I obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2021, further solidifying my commitment to the field. Additionally, I became a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), empowering me to provide individualized nutrition guidance using whole foods as a foundation for health. I wholeheartedly encourage you to explore the synergy of these three modalities - training, massage, and nutrition - to unlock your fullest potential and become the healthiest, most vibrant version of yourself. The realization that these three elements are equally crucial and work harmoniously together gave birth to the concept of the "three gears." As I continue my journey as a dedicated wife and mother, I am blessed to also be a grandmother, allowing me to instill the importance of self-care and holistic well-being in our family. Together, we embrace the values of nurturing our bodies, minds, and spirits to foster lifelong health and happiness.
